Named a College Football News Honorable Mention Freshman All-American and a second-team All-Mountain West selection as he played in 11 games with four starts … finished the season with 33 tackles (19-solo), which included 2.0 sacks and 3.0 tackles for loss, to go along with a team-best four interceptions and a team-high three blocked kicks, while adding two pass breakups and two quarterback hurries … his three blocked punts during the season are the most in school history … named the MW Freshman of the Week following his performance at No. 1 Alabama (9/3), as he recorded a then-career high seven tackles, to go along with an interception and quarterback hurry … named the MW Defensive Player of the Week and the MW Freshman of the Week following his performance at Hawai’i (11/12) as he had six tackles, which included a career-high-tying 1.0 sacks and a career-high 2.0 tackles for loss, to go along with a career-best two interceptions, as he returned one 36 yards for his first career touchdown … had four tackles, including his first-career sack, at No. 19 BYU (9/29) … recorded a season high eight tackles against New Mexico (11/5) … had an interception, pass breakup and quarterback hurry in the season opener against UConn (8/27) … his second blocked punt of the year was against UNLV (9/24), which resulted in a safety, while his third blocked punt was against San José State (11/19) and returned 56 yards for a touchdown … finished the season tied for first in the nation with three blocked kicks (0.27 pg), and was third in the MW and 22nd in the nation with four interceptions (0.36 pg) … was the only player in the nation that had four interceptions, three blocked kicks and a defensive touchdown during the season … was the highest-rated defensive back in the MW and No. 7 nationally with an overall grade of 89.9 percent, according to ProFootballFocus, and was the best pass coverage defensive back in the MW with a grade of 87.2 percent … allowed just nine receptions for 56 yards on 22 targets with no touchdowns and four interceptions, and quarterbacks had a rating of 9.1 when throwing at him.

HIGH SCHOOL
Three-star prospect and the 24th-best recruit in the state of Utah according to 247Sports.com … earned first-team All-State honors as a defensive back from MaxPreps.com and the Deseret News as a senior at Sky View High School in Smithfield, Utah ... helped the Bobcats to their second straight 4A state championship in 2020 as he was named his team’s MVP ... as a senior, he posted 55 tackles, to go along with four interceptions, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery ... returned two of his interceptions for touchdowns and blocked nine kicks during the year ... offensively, he had 762 all-purpose yards as he caught 24 passes for 565 yards (23.5 ypr) and five touchdowns, and carried the ball 19 times for 197 yards (10.4 ypc) and four touchdowns ... earned second-team All-State honors as a defensive back from the Deseret News as a junior at Logan (Utah) High School … in 11 games, he caught 35 passes for 548 yards and six touchdowns, recorded 62 tackles (47 solo), intercepted seven passes, broke up seven more, forced a trio of fumbles and recovered two more ... finished with 10 touchdowns during the 2019 campaign as he scored touchdowns on offense, defense and special teams ... as a junior, he had a 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown against Provo HS, hauled in four receptions for 123 yards and a touchdown against Stansbury HS and picked off three passes against Preston HS, returning one of them for a touchdown ... averaged 23.5 yards on 20 kickoff returns and 16.3 yards on eight punt returns ... had a kickoff return for a touchdown against Ogden HS in the opening round of the state playoffs ... finished second among all Region 11 players with his seven interceptions ... ranked second on the team with his three forced fumbles, returning one of those for a touchdown against Stansbury HS ... as a sophomore at Logan HS, he had 42 tackles and picked off five passes, to go along with a pair of blocked field goals ... played basketball and ran track at Sky View HS.
