Biography

INDIVIDUAL HONORS: CoSIDA Academic All-District VIII (2017); Academic All-Mountain West (2016, 2017, 2018); Mountain West Scholar-Athlete (2017, 2018).  

2019 (SR): Played in all 13 games, making four starts... Finished the season with 44 tackles (21-solo, 23-assist), which included 2.0 sacks and 6.0 tackles for loss, while adding one pass breakup, one quarterback hurry and one blocked kick... Tied for third on the team in both sacks and tackles for loss... Had a season-high seven tackles against No. 20 Boise State (11/23)... Had six tackles, including a career-high 2.0 tackles for loss at Wake Forest (8/30) in the season opener... Had four tackles, including 1.0 sacks at No. 5 LSU (10/5)... Also had a sack at San Diego State (9/21)... Had four tackles, which included 0.5 tackles for loss, to go along with a blocked extra point and his first-career pass breakup... Also had 0.5 tackles for loss against Stony Brook (9/7)... Finished the season with multiple tackles in 12 of the 13 games he played in and at least three stops in 10 games.    

2018 (JR): Played in 11 games and finished the season with 15 tackles (9-solo, 6-assist), which included 2.0 sacks, while adding one blocked kick and one quarterback hurry… Recorded a season-high five tackles against Air Force (9/22)… Also had five tackles, including 1.0 sacks, and a quarterback hurry against UNLV (10/13)… Added two tackles, including 1.0 sacks, at Wyoming (10/20) and had two tackles against New Mexico (10/27)… Also had one tackle and blocked his first-career punt against North Texas in the New Mexico Bowl (12/15)… Earned academic all-Mountain West honors and was an MW Scholar-Athlete.

2017 (SO): Played in all 13 games, making four starts… Finished the season with 45 tackles (14-solo, 31-assist), which included 1.0 sacks and 1.5 tackles for loss, while adding two quarterback hurries and one forced fumble… Finished first on the team for tackles among the defensive linemen… Recorded a career-high nine tackles against Boise State (10/28) and had seven tackles and one quarterback hurry against Colorado State (10/7)… Had five tackles, which included a career-best 1.0 sacks and a career-high 1.5 tackles for loss, while adding his first-career fumble recovery at San José State (9/23)… Also had five tackles each against UNLV (10/21) and Air Force (11/25)… Recorded at least one tackle in 11 of the 13 games he played in… Also carried the ball two times for nine yards during the season, including an 11-yard rush at Wake Forest (9/16)… Earned CoSIDA Academic All-District VIII honors, academic all-Mountain West honors and was an MW Scholar-Athlete. 

2016 (R-FR): Played in 11 games and finished the season with two tackles as he had stops against Arkansas State (9/16) and Air Force (9/24)… Also had one quarterback hurry against Weber State (9/1).

2015 (RS): Redshirted during his first season at Utah State and was named the Scout Team Defensive Most Valuable Player. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned honorable mention all-state honors and first team all-region accolades as a prep senior in 2012 at Logan (Utah) High School as he had 85 tackles (26-solo, 59-assist), to go along with 7.5 sacks, four caused fumbles, one interception and one blocked field goal... Was also named to the all-valley team as a senior... Earned second-team all-state honors, along with first-team all-region and all-valley accolades during his junior year as he recorded 82 tackles, to go along with a team-leading 6.5 sacks... Also had two fumble recoveries, two quarterback hurries and one interception during his junior season as Logan HS won the 4A state championship... Earned all-region honors as a sophomore, as well... Was a four-year letterwinner in both wrestling and lacrosse and finished fourth at the state wrestling championship in the heavyweight division during his junior year... Won the 4A state wrestling title in the heavyweight division as a senior, finishing the year with a 44-1 overall record... A member of the honor roll. 

PERSONAL: One of five children of Mike and Stephanie Wildman... His uncle, Dennis Wildman, played linebacker at Utah State in 1987... Is cousins with Caden Andersen, who is a junior defensive tackle at USU... Is married to Mariah Hansen... Served a two-year LDS Church Mission in Houston, Texas... Graduated from Utah State University in the spring of 2019 with a degree in sociology with a minor in criminal justice and earned his master’s of business administration from USU in the spring of 2020.
