Biography

2014 (FR): Redshirted during his only season at Utah State.

HIGH SCHOOL: A Utah Class 5A first-team all-state selection by both the Deseret News and Salt Lake Tribune as well as first-team Region 3 selection as a prep senior at Bingham High School in South Jordan, Utah... Did not allow a sack during his senior season in blocking for the Miners' offense that averaged 239.8 rushing and 159.3 passing yards per game, amassing 50.7 points per game on the way to their second-straight 5A state championship, going 13-0 in 2010... Also a two-year starter in basketball, leading the team as a sophomore with 16.0 points per game... Was a member of the Bingham HS Honor Roll.

PERSONAL: Son of Kenny and Lori Hicks... Has two sisters... Uncle, Kerry Hicks, was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the seventh round (234th overall) of the 1996 NFL Draft, and played defensive end for two seasons in the NFL for the Kansas City Chiefs after being a four-year letterwinner at the University of Colorado... Uncle, Randy Morrell, played football for Weber State in 1982... Served a two-year LDS Church Mission in Indianapolis, Ind.
