Career Stats Career Statistics Biography Summary Biography Simon is returning for his second year with USU Football through the Team Impact program, a program “that matches children facing serious illness and disability with college sports teams, creating a long-term, life-changing experience for everyone.” Simon was diagnosed with cancer in March 2024 right before eagerly beginning his soccer season with his mom as his coach. Instead, Simon went through six rounds of intensive, five-day-long chemotherapy. The treatments were rough—sometimes making him really sick, sometimes leading to overnight hospital stays, and often needing blood or platelet transfusions. In September 2024, Simon finished chemo and was declared in remission. Even with the huge milestone, Simon still maintains regular scans and check-ins. In October of 2024, Simon joined the Aggie football team via Team IMPACT and has not only received support and encouragement from players and staff, but has served as an inspiration to all of Utah State athletics. Football has also served as a connection between Simon and his late grandfather, who worked professionally supplying football statistics. Simon has three siblings who have supported him through his journey: 11-year-old Aiden, 10-year-old Lily and 5-year-old Isabel. Simon and his family have called Cache Valley home since he was only five months old, and through Team IMPACT and Utah State football, continue to make memories which are bigger than cancer.
