Ben Hogg (Hog) is in his second season with Utah State as an offensive recruiting analyst. The 2025 campaign will be his third year working for head coach Bronco Mendenhall.

In his first year at Utah State in 2025, Hogg helped Utah State to a 6-7 record (4-4 Mountain West) and its 12th bowl game in the last 15 years. With Hogg on staff, USU had 10 players earn All-MW honors, the most since 2019. Three players garnered first-team All-MW accolades, and two others were named to the second team, along with five honorable mention selections. Senior cornerback Noah Avinger highlighted these honorees as he was named a HERO Sports Group of Five Second Team All-American.

Hogg came to Utah State after spending the 2024 season as an athletic performance intern at New Mexico. He helped the Lobos to a 5-7 record, marking the program’s most wins in eight years. Highlighting its season was a 38-35 victory against No. 19 Washington State, snapping a 26-game losing streak against nationally ranked teams.

Hogg helped New Mexico finish the 2024 season ranked first in the Mountain West in red zone offense and total offense, ranking fourth in the FBS with 484.3 yards per game. The Lobos also ranked second in the MW and fifth in the FBS in rushing offense (253.6), leading the league and ranking fourth in the country in first downs (298).

Hogg played for Mendenhall at Virginia for four seasons (2016-19), appearing in 23 games for the Cavaliers as a wide receiver. He began his career at UVA as a preferred walk-on and later earned a scholarship for his final three seasons.

A native of Lynchburg, Virginia, Hogg earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Virginia in 2018 and his master’s in higher education and sports administration in 2020.
