Jordan Pulou

Jordan Pulou (Poo-low) is in his first season with Utah State as a defensive recruiting analyst.
 
Pulou came to Utah State after serving as the defensive coordinator at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah, for the last three years (2022-24) as he helped the Badgers to a 26-7 record. At Snow, he coached nine All-Americans and his defense averaged 34.0 sacks per season, forcing a combined 24 turnovers.
 
Pulou has also spent the past three summers as a special teams intern in the NFL with the Pittsburgh Steelers as part of the Bill Walsh Coaching Fellowship Program.
 
Before his time at Snow College, Pulou spent three years (2019-21) at Morgan State as he coached safeties during the 2020 and 2021 seasons and linebackers in 2019. At MSU, he coached one all-conference safety.
 
Pulou began his coaching career in Utah at Skyline High School, serving as the safeties coach and special teams coordinator for three seasons (2016-18). In 2013, he was the wide receivers and defensive backs coach at Cyprus High School in Magna, Utah.
 
Pulou attended Missouri University of Science and Technology as a linebacker during the 2011 and 2012 seasons. He earned all-conference honors in both seasons and helped lead the Miners to a 10-1 record in 2012. 
 
He graduated from Missouri University of Science and Technology with a bachelor’s degree in economics in 2013 and launched his coaching career as a student assistant coach overseeing the linebackers unit.  He received his master’s in recreation, parks, and sport management from Frostburg State in 2022.
 
Pulou began his collegiate playing career at New Mexico Military Institute during the 2009 and 2010 seasons and earned an associate degree in liberal arts and sciences. 
 
Pulou is a native of Magna, Utah, and a graduate of Cyprus High School where he was a first team all-region running back and linebacker. He served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the great state of Alaska from 2013-2015.
 
Pulou and his wife Maren have one son, Bo.
