Tyrone Saterfield

Tyrone Saterfield is in his first season with Utah State’s football program as a defensive recruiting analyst, joining the Aggies from Stevenson University in Owings Mills, Maryland, where he coached the Mustangs’ defensive line.
 
Before heading to Stevenson, Saterfield returned to McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland, in 2021, to once again work with the defensive line. He previously served as a graduate assistant on staff in 2017 and 2018, when he also mentored the defensive line.
 
At the conclusion of the 2018 season, Saterfield coached the defensive line at Southwest Minnesota State University in 2019. He then transitioned to Silver Oak Academy in Keymar, Maryland, in 2020, where he served as the athletics director and head football coach.
 
The native of Milton, Florida, played defensive tackle at Louisville from 2000-03, where he was a force up front. A two-year starter for the Cardinals, Saterfield had 50 tackles and started 16 games in his final two seasons.
 
Following his collegiate career, Saterfield played in the Indoor Football League from 2006-11 for the Sioux Falls Storm and Wyoming Calvary.
 
Saterfield, who graduated from Louisville in 2015 with a degree in organizational leadership and later earned his master’s in kinesiology from McDaniel, is married to Amanda Malone. The couple has three children: Jackson, Tyra and Marleigh.
