HIGH SCHOOL: Earned second-team all-state and first-team all-region honors in 2012 as a prep senior at Mountain Crest High School in Hyrum, Utah... Also earned Herald Journal All-Valley honors and was tabbed Region 5's cornerback MVP after finishing second on the team in pass breakups (10) and fumble recoveries (2), to go along with 29 solo tackles and an interception... Helped lead Mountain Crest HS to a 4A state runner-up finish as a senior in 2012 and as a sophomore in 2010... Was a three-time state placer in wrestling and the 4A runner-up at 182 pounds as a senior for Mountain Crest HS... As a member of Mountain Crest's club lacrosse team, helped the Mustangs capture the Division II state title during his junior season... As a senior, was the recipient of the Blake Strebel Memorial Award, which takes into account excellence on the field, in the classroom and as a leader on the field and in the community... Tabbed the D-II lacrosse middie MVP after leading the Mustangs with 59 goals and finishing second on the team in assists (17) and groundballs won (123) as a senior... Graduated with a 3.87 grade point average and was a member of the National Honor Society. PERSONAL: One of five children of Marcell and Lisa Niederhauser... Served a two-year LDS Church mission in San Diego, Calif., from 2013-15... Majoring in business marketing at Utah State.
