HONORS: WAC Special Teams Player of the Week (9/7/12); College Football Performance Awards Honorable Mention National Punter of the Week (9/22/12; 11/3/12); College Football Performance Awards National Punter of the Week (9/29/12); Second-Team College Sports Madness All-WAC (2011); Academic All-WAC (2011, 2012).

2012 (SR): Appeared in all 13 games and finished the year punting 61 times for 2,557 yards (41.9 ypk) with a season-long punt of 59 yards... Had 33 of his punts downed inside the 20-yard line... Was named the WAC's Special Teams Player of the Week following his performance against Utah (9/7) as he punted a then career-high nine times for an average of 45.3 yards and had a season long punt of 59 yards, while four of his punts were downed inside the 20-yard line... Was named the College Football Performance Awards National Punter of the Week following his performance against UNLV (9/29) as he punted five times for an average of 47.4 yards, including two over 50 yards... Had a career-high five punts down inside the 20 against the Rebels... Earned College Football Performance Awards Honorable Mention National Punter of the Week honors following his performance against both Colorado State (9/22) and Texas State (11/3)... Punted three times for an average of 47.0 yards against CSU, including two over 50 yards, and had two punts downed inside the 20... Punted one time for 57 yards against Texas State... Earned academic all-WAC honors.

2011 (JR): Booted 58 punts for a total of 2,542 yards in 2011... Finished the season ranked 16th in the nation in punting with 43.8 yards per punt... Had 15 punts of 50-plus yards and a long of 67 yards, as well as 21 punts inside the 20-yard line... Punted a career high eight times against Louisiana Tech, while also tallying a career best 54.3 yards per punt average against Weber State... Earned academic all-WAC honors.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: A second-team All-American selection, earning first-team all-region and first-team all-conference honors after ranking second in the National Junior College Athletic Association with a 43.7 average on 43 punts, with a long of 68 yards at Phoenix (Ariz.) CC... Junior college teammates with fellow Aggie Jumanne Robertson.

HIGH SCHOOL: A two-time first-team all-region selection at North Canyon (Ariz.) High School... Had a 41.1 average with a long of 54 yards, pinning 14 punts inside the 20 yard line his senior season... Also an Academic All-American at North Canyon High School.

PERSONAL: Son of Aleecia and Glen Matkovich... Has one brother... Graduated from Utah State in the spring of 2013 with a degree in sociology along with a minor in criminal law and justice.
