2008-09 SEASON (RS): Redshirted at USU during the 2008-09 season.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Played five years for the New South Wales basketball team that participated in the Australian National Championships… Helped lead his team to an 8-2 record in 2008… Was also a member of the Illawarra Seahawks club team for two years and was named the Illawarra Basketball Association Player of the Year in 2008 as he averaged approximately 17.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game… Also played rugby, baseball and Australian Rules Football in high school… Named Holy Spirit College’s sports captain during his senior year… Was also presented the All-Around Award by his high school during his senior year, which is annually given to the top overall student-athlete.
 
PERSONAL: Full name is Dominique Lewis Cooks… Born Aug. 30, 1989 in Ballarat, Australia… One of three children of Josie and Eric Cooks… His father is a professional basketball coach in Australia for the Wollongong Hawks and played college basketball at St. Mary’s in California… Majoring in international business… Enjoys all sports and going to the beach.
