Biography

2006-07 SEASON (SR): Started in 21 games during his senior season, including 12 of the team’s 15 conference matchups, while appearing in 34 contests… Scored in double-figures 19 times and had five 20-point games… Averaged career-highs in every major statistical category, going for 11.3 points along with 3.7 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game… Led the team in blocks with 20 while also recording 26 steals… Earned Western Athletic Conference all-tournament team honors as a senior as he averaged 17.7 points and 5.3 rebounds in helping the Aggies advance to the championship game… Scored the game-winning points four different times during the season as he made a three-pointer against Utah (12/6) with less than two seconds to play in a 60-57 win, made a three-point play with seven seconds remaining in an 80-79 win against Boise State (1/18), made a pair of free throws with just under four seconds remaining in a 79-77 overtime win against ninth-ranked Nevada (2/1) and then made two free throws with just over two seconds to play in a 79-77 win against 10th-ranked Nevada in the semifinals of the WAC Tournament (2/9)… Finished the year shooting 46.8 percent from the field, 41.5 percent from three-point range and 83.8 percent from the free throw line, which ranked third in the WAC… Received the sixth annual Varsity Award which is awarded to a senior who best represents outstanding achievement in academics, athletics and community service.
 
2005-06 SEASON (JR): Played in all 32 games for Utah State in his first season at the Division I level… Scored in double-figures nine times during the year, including 12 points against Washington on 5-of-7 shooting in the first round of the 2006 NCAA Tournament… Scored a season-high 16 points against Lewis & Clark College on Nov. 26 as he was 8-of-9 from the field… Recorded a season-high six rebounds in three different games during the year, including at San Jose State on Jan. 6… Played a season-high 27 minutes against Northwestern State on Feb. 18… Finished the year by scoring in double-figures in four of his final eight games, and in those final eight games of the year he averaged 10.8 points and 3.0 rebounds, while shooting 68.0 percent from the field (34-50) and 85.7 percent from the free throw line (18-21)… Overall he finished fourth on the team in scoring at 7.9 points per game, and was third on the team in field goal percentage at 56.5 percent… Also shot 73.6 percent from the free throw line and averaged 2.8 rebounds in 17.7 minutes per game off the bench.
 
JUNIOR COLLEGE: Was named a National Junior College Athletic Association First-Team All-American as a sophomore at Kankakee Community College in Kankakee, Ill., as he averaged 21.4 points and 7.5 rebounds and shot 60.6 percent from the field and 81.8 percent from the free throw line… Was also named his region’s Player of the Year… As a sophomore, he ranked ninth in the country in scoring and 11thin free throw percentage as he led the Cavaliers to a 23-10 record and a Region IV runner-up finish… As a freshman at Kankakee, he averaged 14.9 points and 5.8 rebounds, while shooting 61.3 percent from the field and 83.8 percent from the free throw line… During his two-year career at Kankakee Community College, he scored 1,201 points to rank fourth all-time in school history and recorded 439 rebounds to rank 12thall-time… He also set single-season and career records for free throws made with 180 and 335 respectively, and was a two-time first-team All-Region IV selection.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned first-team all-city and all-conference honors as a prep senior at Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis, Ind., as he averaged almost 15 points and eight rebounds per game… His career-high in high school was 25 points.
