Biography

1997-98 SEASON (SR): Earned first team all-Big West honors after leading the Aggies to a Big West title and NCAA Tournament appearance… Led the team and ranked eighth in the conference in scoring with 17.4 points per game… Averaged 27.0 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game in the Big West Tournament as he was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player… Earned second team National Association of Basketball Coaches District 14 honors… Also averaged 3.9 rebounds, fourth most on the team, and a team leading 4.1 assists while playing 35.5 minutes per game and starting all 33 contests… Scored a season-high 31 points against Minnesota in the first round of the preseason NIT (11/17) as he shot 11-of-18 from the field, 5-of-6 from three-point range and 4-of-8 from the free throw line… Matched his season-high with another 31-point outing in the second round of the Big West Tournament against CS Fullerton (3/7), shooting 12-of-15 from the field, 5-of-6 from three-point range and 2-of-3 from the free throw line… Scored in double-figures in 30 of the team’s 33 games, while going for 20-plus ten times including the final four games of the season… Led the team’s scoring efforts 15 times on the season… Pulled down a season-high eight rebounds at Wyoming (12/3), at UC Santa Barbara (1/17) and at UC Irvine (2/12)… Had 43 steals, second most on the team, including a career-high five in USU’s win over Minnesota (11/17)… Dished out a season-high eight assists against Fresno Pacific (12/30) and versus North Texas (2/28)… Shot 46.0 percent (46-100) from three-point range on the season, the third best mark for a season in school history… His 1172 minutes played rank second all-time for a single season in program history, while his 135 assists rank ninth and his 574 points rank 14thall-time… Finished his career ranking third all-time in career minutes per game (34.2), fifth in career assists per game (4.3), seventh in career three-pointers made (62) and eighth in career three-point percentage (.392).
 
1996-97 SEASON (JR): Earned first-team all-Big West honors in his first year of league play… Named to the Big West all-Tournament team as well… The only Aggie to start every game, and his 948 minutes topped the team as well… Averaged 13.2 points (first on the team and 15thin the Big West) and 4.2 rebounds per game… Handed out 134 assists for a 4.6 averaged to rank third in the league… Scored in double-figures in 19 games and reached the 20-point mark in six contests… Scoring best was a 33-point effort at Boise State as he made 10-of-13 field goal attempts and 11-of-11 free throws… Also added eight rebounds, four steals and two blocks in that game… Recorded nine assists in two different games (vs. North Texas and at Cal State Fullerton)… Averaged 14.6 points, while shooting 45.7 percent from the field in Big West games only.
 
JUNIOR COLLEGE: Was a first-team junior college All-American as a sophomore at Chipola (Fla.) JC in 1995… Averaged 23.4 points, 7.2 assists and 2.1 steals as a sophomore… Set school records for single-game assists (16) and career assists (429)… Was the Conference Player of the Year as a sophomore and was a two-time team Most Valuable Player.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a three-time all-conference player, and a two-time all-state selection at A.C. Flora in Columbia, S.C… Was also picked as the area Player of the Year as a senior… Averaged 24.5 points, eight assists, six rebounds and two steals per game as a prep senior… Also lettered in football and baseball and was drafted by the Mets organization.
