2006-07 SEASON (JR): Made 16 appearances during his first season at Utah State, while starting in three games… Averaged 2.3 points and 1.7 rebounds per appearance… Scored a season-high 10 points at Brigham Young (12/16) where he shot 2-of-3 from the field and 6-of-7 from the free throw line… Grabbed a season-high eight rebounds in the second game of the season in Utah State’s 77-71 win against Centenary (11/17)… Had seven blocks and four steals on the season…Shot 42.3 percent from the field (11-26) and 63.6 percent from the free throw line (14-22).
 
JUNIOR COLLEGE: Earned first-team all-state and first-team all-Orange Empire Conference honors as he helped lead Fullerton College to a perfect 37-0 record and the California Community College state championship… Was also named the JCHoops.com Player of the Year as a sophomore at Fullerton College as he finished the season ranked first in the conference in blocks per game (2.1), and second in scoring (17.2), rebounding (7.9), field goal percentage (.619), and free throw percentage (.817)… Was also named to the California Community College all-tournament team as a sophomore… As a freshman, he earned first-team all-Orange Empire Conference honors as he averaged 17.2 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Diamond Ranch High School in Pomona, Calif., earning first-team all-league honors as both a junior and senior, and second team all-CIF honors as a senior… During his senior season he averaged 19 points, 12 rebounds and 4.5 blocks per game.
 
PERSONAL: Full name is Michael D’Sean Earl… Born on Sept. 16, 1985 in Pomona, Calif… One of four children of Jennifer Lyons and Michael Earl, Sr… Plans on majoring a business administration at Utah State with a minor in real estate.
