Biography

2010-11 SEASON (SR.): After missing the first three games of the season, started 27 of the team’s remaining 31 games while playing in all 31… Averaged 6.5 points per game, and was the third-leading rebounder on the team recording a career-best mark of 5.8 rebounds per game… Was named to the preseason all-WAC second team by the WAC’s coaches entering the season… Scored a season-high 16 points to go along with six rebounds and two steals in the WAC Tournament championship game against Boise State, earning him a spot on the all-tournament team… Pulled down a career-high 16 rebounds at Fresno State (1/15), while also going for 12 points to record his second double-double of the season… Also had a double-double of 13 points and 14 rebounds earlier against CS Bakersfield (12/11)… Scored in double-digits eight times during the season, and recorded double figures in rebounds three times, while leading the team’s rebounding efforts on eight occasions… Recorded 12 steals and nine blocks during the season.
 
2009-10 SEASON (JR.): Was named to the WAC’s all-newcomer team as he started all 33 games he played in... Finished the year ranking seventh in the WAC in field goal shooting (.562), eighth in free throw shooting (.815) and 11th in blocked shots (0.88)... His 29 total blocks ranked second on the team... Posted 23 assists and 18 steals during the year... Averaged 10.3 points and 5.5 rebounds to rank third on the team in each category, while playing an average of 25.8 minutes per game... Scored in double-figures 17 times during the season, including a career-high 20 points on 9-of-14 shooting against San Jose State (1/30)... Also tied his career-high with 10 rebounds against the Spartans for one of his three double-doubles on the season... Had 12 points and 10 rebounds at Utah (11/18), and 14 points and 10 rebounds against Brigham Young (12/2)... Had a career-high five blocks against Morehead State (12/21) and played a career-high 35 minutes at Nevada (1/13)... Missed two games during the season against Weber State (12/23) and Western Oregon (12/29) due to heart surgery on December 23 as he had a minor procedure called a heart ablation to treat an atrial flutter... JUNIOR COLLEGE: Spent the 2008-09 season at Salt Lake Community College where he helped lead the Bruins to a 31-6 record and the NJCAA National Championship... Scored 21 points and added eight rebounds in the national championship game against Midland College and was named to the NJCAA all-tournament team as he averaged 17.8 points and 6.5 rebounds in four games, while shooting 68.2 percent from the field... Earned first-team all-region and Region 18 all-tournament team honors... Started 35 games during the year and averaged 14.4 points and 6.4 rebounds, while shooting 56.1 percent from the field and 68.9 percent from the free throw line... Also had 50 assists, 34 steals and 21 blocks as he playedan average of 23.9 minutes per game... Scored in double-figures 31 times during the season and had seven 20-point games, including a season-high 28 points against the College of Eastern Utah in the championship game of the Region 18 Tournament... Had five double-doubles during the season and posted a season-high 11 rebounds in three separate games.
 
2005-06 SEASON (FR.): Averaged 2.4 points and 1.5 rebounds in 13 games as a freshman at Utah State during the 2005-06 season, while shooting 72.2 percent from the field (13-18)... Scored a season-high eight points against Lewis & Clark College (11/26) as he was 4-of-5 from the field... Played a season-high 15 minutes against Arkansas-Little Rock (12/29) and notched a season-high six rebounds against the Trojans.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Skyline High School in Salt Lake City where he earned first-team all-state honors... As a senior, he averaged nearly 18 points and nine rebounds, and shot 54 percent from the field and 78 percent from the free throw line as he led Skyline to an 18-5 record and to the semifinals of the 5A state tournament.
