2005-06 SEASON (SR): Became the only player in Utah State history to earn first-team all-conference honors three times during a career, and also became the only player in USU history to play in three NCAA Tournaments… Finished the season ranking first in the WAC and seventh in the nation in field goal shooting as he shot at a 62.1 percent rate from the field (215-346)… Was named to the United States Basketball Writers Association All-District VIII team which consisted of the top-10 players in the Western United States, and was a National Association of Basketball Coaches District 14 second-team member… Led Utah State in scoring and ranked seventh in the WAC, averaging 17.1 points per contest while scoring in double-figures a team-best 30 times and scoring 20-plus points on eight occasions… Also ranked sixth in rebounding (7.7), seventh in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.43) and ninth in free throw shooting (.744)… His 553 points ranks as 19th-most points scored by a player in a single-season in school history…Led the team in scoring 13 times during the season, including a 33-point outing at Fresno State (1/7) which set a new career-high scoring mark as he went 15-of-22 from the field and 2-of-4 from three point range along with 12 rebounds and five assists… Led the team’s rebounding efforts 19 times, including in eight of the final nine games of the season… Recorded a season-high 14 rebounds against Washington in the first round of the NCAA Tournament… Had a team-best eight double-doubles during the season while playing in 33.4 minutes per game… Shot 38.9 percent from the three-point line (7-18), and shot 74.4 percent (116/156) from the free throw line, the third-highest mark on the team… Also had 31 blocks and 23 steals… Was named to the WAC’s all-tournament team as he averaged 18.0 points and 9.0 rebounds during USU’s three-game run… Was named the MVP of the 2005 Gossner Foods Holiday Classic as he led USU to wins against Arkansas-Little Rock (12/29) and Binghamton (12/30), averaging 20 points, and four rebounds per game during the tournament, while shooting 16-of-19 from the field… Dished out a career-high nine assists at New Mexico State (2/2)… Became the only player in Utah State history to record at least 1,300 points, 600 rebounds, 200 assists and 90 blocks in a career… Fished his career ranking first all-time at Utah State in wins (96) and field goal percentage (.641), second in games played (126), fourth in blocks (90), ninth in rebounding (722), 10thin scoring (1,475), and 20thin assists (220).
2004-05 SEASON (JR): Became just the seventh player in school history to earn first-team all-league honors twice… Finished the year second in the nation and first in the Big West in field goal percentage at 65.2 percent… Was also eighth in the league in rebounding (6.0), ninth in blocked shots (0.66), and 11thin scoring at 13.0 points per game… Started 31 of the 32 games during the year… Named the Big West Conference Player of the Week on Dec. 6 after leading USU to a pair of home wins against Brigham Young and Utah as he tied his career-high with 26 points against the Cougars and scored 20 against the Utes… Was named the Most Valuable Player of the 11thannual Gossner Foods Holiday Classic hosted by Utah State as he scored 13 points against South Carolina State and then added 21 points and tied his career-high with 13 rebounds against Loyola Marymount… Set a new career-high with 15 rebounds on Feb. 10 in a 77-57 win against Cal State Northridge… Scored in double-figures 23 times during the season, including 11 straight during one stretch… Also notched two double-doubles and had five 20-point games during the year… Was named to the Big West’s all-tournament team as he scored 21 points in a semifinal win against Cal State Fullerton and added six points in the championship game win against then 16th-ranked Pacific… Finished the year second on the team with 21 blocked shots and 29 steals… Was also second on the team in rebounding (6.0) and third in scoring (13.0)… Shot 68.3 percent from the free throw line and was 2-of-9 (.222) from three-point range… Tied his career-high in minutes played with 41 in a double-overtime loss at Pacific on Jan. 13 and led the team with 988 minutes played during the season which averaged out to 30.9 minutes per game… His 65.2 percent shooting from the field ranks fifth on USU’s single-season field goal percentage lists… Voted the team’s Defensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season… Led the team with seven charges taken during the year and was second in dunks with 14.
2003-04 SEASON (SO): Was the first Aggie ever to earn first-team all-Big West honors as a sophomore and only the ninth player in the history of the league to accomplish that feat… Became the first player in USU history to earn the league’s Sixth Man of the Year award after starting 15 of the team’s 29 games… Named the Big West Conference Player of the Week three straight weeks during the league season which is also a school record… Joins former Aggies Desmond Penigar, Eric Franson and Spencer Nelson as the only USU players to earn three Player of the Week honors in the same year… Was the first player in the Big West Conference to earn three straight Player of the Week honors since Pacific’s Michael Olowokandi accomplished the feat during the 1988 season…Finished the year by setting a new school record in field goal percentage by shooting 67.7 percent from the floor, breaking the old mark of 66.2 percent set by Greg Houskeeper during the 1988-89 season… Led the team in blocked shots with 27, was second on the team in scoring at 11.7 points per game and rebounding at 6.1 boards per game, and third in minutes played at 28.0… Was also named the Co-Defensive Player of the Year by his teammates, along with Cardell Butler… Was a perfect three-of-three from three-point range… Also led the team with 19 double-figure scoring games, including nine straight at one point in the season… Had four double-figure rebounding games and notched three double-doubles on the year… Scored 20 or more points three times, including a career-high 26 points against Long Beach State on Jan. 31… Had back-to-back 20-point games at Cal State Fullerton (22) and UC Riverside (25) starting in place of the injured Spencer Nelson… Had a then career-high 13 rebounds at Cal State Fullerton… Led the team with five charges taken on the year and was third on the team with six dunks… Played a career-high 41 minutes against UC Riverside… Ranked first in the Big West in field goal percentage (.677), sixth in blocked shots (0.93), and ninth in rebounding (6.1).
2002-03 SEASON (RS FR): Played in all 33 games in his first season at the Division I level… Started one game during the year against Cal State Fullerton in the opening round of the 2003 Big West Tournament… Became the first Aggie in five years to be named to the league’s all-freshman team… Averaged 5.1 points and 3.2 rebounds per game in 16.8 minutes of action… Shot 60.9 percent from the field, which was second-best on the team… Scored in double-figures six times during the season, including 13 point outings against UC Irvine, UC Riverside and Idaho… Best game of the season came against UC Santa Barbara as he was 6-of-6 from the field and scored 12 points to go along with seven rebounds… Played a season-high 29 minutes in both regular season games against UC Irvine… Recorded 21 steals on the season which was the third-most on the team, and had a season-high four steals against UC Irvine.
2001-02 SEASON (RS): Redshirted his first year at Utah State.
HIGH SCHOOL: Named the Gatorade, Salt Lake Tribune and Utah Tip-Off Club Frank Layden Player of the Year in the state of Utah as a senior… A first-team all-state selection as a junior and senior and a two-time Herald Journal Player of the Year in Cache Valley… Named the Region Four Player of the Year as a junior and senior… Averaged 23 points and 13 rebounds per game as a senior and 18 points and 12 rebounds per game as a junior… His teams went undefeated in the region in his three years and won three straight region championships… Sky View advanced to the second round of the state tournament his junior and senior seasons and to the semifinals his sophomore season… Was also an all-district quarterback… Threw for 1,700 yards and 10 touchdowns as a senior.
