Biography

1999-00 SEASON (SO): Appeared in 33 of a possible 34 games during his first season at Utah State, while averaging 10.4 minutes per contest… Averaged 2.1 points, 1.2 assists and 0.7 rebounds per game on the season… Best statistical game of the season came in USU’s 74-55 win over Mercer (12/28) as he scored a season-high seven points to go along with two rebounds and four assists… Had a season-high five assists against UC San Diego (12/4), then repeated with another five-assist outing two weeks later against Western State (12/18)… Shot 76.5 percent (13-17) from the free throw line on the season.
 
JUNIOR COLLEGE: Earned first-team all-conference honors as a sophomore after leading the team in scoring at 15.9 points per game… Also averaged 2.6 assists to rank second on the team in that category… Shot 41.5 percent from the field and 75.7 percent from the free throw line… Had a career-high 37 points on 14-of-18 shooting against Santa Ana… Scored 20 or more points in nine games and hit at least three three-pointers in 19-of-30 games.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a two-time all-league Most Valuable Player… Was an all-CIF selection as a junior… Averaged 22.5 points and 4.2 rebounds his senior year… Averaged 21.1 points and 4.1 rebounds as a junior… As a sophomore he averaged 6.3 points per game… Also competed in track.
 
PERSONAL: Born Feb. 5, 1980 in Fort Walton Beach, Fla… Son of Roger and Joyce Thomas… His uncle Anthony Richardson was an all-conference player at Tennessee.
