Biography

1994-95 SEASON (SR): Was a very consistent player for Utah State during his senior year, being one of two players to start all 29 games, and averaging 33.2 minutes per game… Led the team in assists at 3.6 per game, while also averaging 8.4 points and 5.6 rebounds per contest… Scored in double-figures 13 times, including a season-high 17 points against Utah (12/23) as he shot 5-of-6 from the field and 7-of-10 from the free throw line to go along with nine rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block… Led the team in rebounding on four occasions, and brought down a career-high 13 boards against Nevada (1/28)… His 34 steals ranked third on the team… Led the team in three-point shooting percentage, shooting 42.9 percent (15-35) from outside the arc.
 
1993-94 SEASON (JR): Started all but one game at point guard in 1993-94 (came off the bench vs. Chadron State)… Averaged 9.7 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists (ninth in the conference while playing a team-high 32.7 minutes per game)… Averaged 12.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists over his last 10 games… Scored in double figures 13 times, including seven out of his last eight games… Displayed a penchant for last-minute heroics… Tossed in 18 second-half points on his way to a season high 21 in Utah State’s 79-77 overtime victory at UC Irvine… Scored eight-straight points in that extra period as the Aggies snapped a seven-game road losing streak in Big West play… Netted 14 of his game-high 20 points in the second half vs. Long Beach State, including six in overtime… Played the entire 40 minutes vs. New Mexico State without committing a turnover… Collected a season-high 10 rebounds at New Mexico State… Dished out a season-high seven assists in the regular-season finale vs. Nevada.
 
JUNIOR COLLEGE: Was California’s Junior College basketball Player of the Year for 1992-93, and he was the reigning MVP at the ’93 state JC tournament… Averaged 18.4 points, 7.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists during the ’92-’93 season while leading Columbia College in Columbia, Calif… Shot 52 percent from the floor and his assists-to-turnovers was an impressive 184-91… Scored 40 points, his career high, in an early-round game in the state tournament against Los Angeles Trade Tech… Despite playing in the backcourt, Anderson was Columbia’s top rebounder… Led the Claim Jumpers of Columbia to a 63-7 record over two years… His ’92-’93 team won the California state title with a win over Ventura JC in the title game… Was named the Coast Valley Conference (CVC) Player of the Year for basketball and the CVC Athlete of the Year for all sports… Coached by Denny Aye at Columbia.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Modesto (Calif.) High School… Team won the Central Coast Conference his senior year eventually losing in the second round in the state playoffs… Averaged 16 points, five rebounds, and four assists per game for coach Doug Streeter’s Panthers… Earned all-district first-team honors.
