Todd Judge

Todd Judge enters his second season at the head coach at Utah State in 2025, after being named the program's 10th head coach on June 5, 2023.

In his first season at the helm in 2024, Judge led Utah State to one of its best non-conference showings in recent history. The Aggies went 17-11 in non-league play, including opening the year 15-9. This was the best 24-game start for the program since 2017. In total, USU won 22 games, a four-win improvement from the previous season.

Judge helped guide catcher Grace Matej to a breakout sophomore season, as she was named a second team all-Mountain West and all-Pacific Region honoree after recording the fifth-best batting average in program history, going 53-for-131 at the plate for a .405 average.

Prior to his time with the Aggies, Judge spent two seasons as a part of the coaching staff at BYU. He has over 15 years of softball coaching experience and 10 years of baseball coaching experience.

While at BYU, Judge helped coach the Cougars to a combined 77-27 overall record. As a BYU assistant coach in 2023, Judge coached third base and worked with the catchers, while also serving as the recruiting coordinator and strength and conditioning advisor, and oversaw hitting instruction, defensive play and base running. He served as a volunteer assistant coach for the Cougars in 2022, specifically coaching third base.

Prior to BYU, Judge coached travel and high school baseball for 10 years, travel softball for 15 years and junior college softball for one year. Judge spent three years as a junior college baseball strength and conditioning coach, and was both the co-founder and head coach of the Oro Valley Sun Cats Softball Club.

Judge has placed over 100 players in collegiate softball and baseball, and also spent 24 years of ownership in numerous fitness facilities. In 28 years of personal training, he has trained D1 baseball and softball players, Minor League Baseball players, PGA golfers, NFL players, CFL players and D1 college coaches.

Hailing from Oro Valley, Arizona, Judge earned a degree in exercise science at Arizona State in 1994, where he met his wife, Chris, a four-year letter winner in gymnastics. They have two daughters, Mackenzie and Maddie, who both play softball. Mackenzie played two years at Pima Community College, and Maddie is a senior at Embry Riddle University in Prescott, Arizona.
