Josie Williams

Josie Williams enters her first season as the director of basketball operations at Utah State in 2024-25.

A native of West Haven, Utah, Williams joins the Aggie staff after a standout career as a player at both Utah Valley and Louisville, followed by a tenure on the Louisville staff as a graduate assistant.

 
During her tenure as a graduate assistant under head coach Jeff Walz, Williams helped guide Louisville to a 24-10 record during the 2023-24 season. The Cardinals secured victories against five ranked opponents, finishing fifth in the ACC and earning a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
 
Williams concluded her collegiate career at Louisville in 2022-23, appearing in 35 games and earning three starts. She was named to the Lisa Leslie Award Watch List as she helped the team to a 26-12 record and a run to the Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament following a trip to the ACC Tournament title game. 
 
Prior to her time at Louisville, WIlliams spent four seasons at Utah Valley (2018-22), where she garnered back-to-back all-WAC first team honors in her junior and senior years. During her senior campaign, Williams averaged 17.3 points and 12.4 boards per game, ranking fourth in the NCAA in double-doubles (24) and fifth nationally in rebounds. In total, she amassed over 1,200 points and 750 rebounds across 106 appearances and 81 starts for the Wolverines.
