Madeline Dolny

Madeline Dolny is in her third season as the director of volleyball operations at Utah State after being hired in March, 2020. 

In her position, Dolny oversees day-to-day aspects of the team, including team schedule management and travel logistics. She also manages the program’s budget and alumni communications, and helps the coaching staff coordinate its recruiting efforts.

In the 2021 season, Dolny helped the Aggies to a share of the Mountain West regular season title. USU finished the year with a 22-9 record, the most wins since 2010. Utah State posted 14 MW wins, the most since 2012, and 12 home victories, the most since 1979.

Dolny came to USU after spending the 2017 and 2018 seasons in the same role at the University of South Dakota. During her time with the Coyotes, the team compiled a 38-21 record, including a 23-7 ledger in Summit League play. The team claimed the Summit League Tournament title in 2018, earning the conference’s automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. 

Returning to Cache Valley, Dolny was the head volleyball coach at Mountain Crest High School in 2016. Additionally, she coached at the club level with local Mountain Peak Volleyball and Front Range Volleyball in Englewood, Colorado. She has also been on camp staffs at the University of Colorado and University of Arizona. 

Dolny played volleyball at Mercer in 2011 and North Idaho College from 2008-10. She then came to Utah State, where she graduated in 2014 with a degree in family life studies. She completed a master’s degree in interdisciplinary studies while at South Dakota.
