Logan Ogden was named the Director of Olympic Sport Strength and Conditioning in June of 2018.
Ogden joined the Aggies after spending three years at the University of Omaha, where he served as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for his first two seasons before being elevated to Director of Strength & Conditioning in January 2017. In that position, he directed all aspects of training for the Maverick men's and women's basketball, track & field and cross country programs.
Prior to working at Omaha, Ogden spent two years as an assistant strength and conditioning coordinator at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, S.D., working with the softball, volleyball, soccer and track & field teams, and assisting with football. Prior to that, he was a graduate assistant at South Dakota State from 2011-2013, where he was responsible for the track & field, cross country, equestrian and cheerleading squads and helped with duties for men's and women's basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball and football.
Ogden holds certifications through theCSCCa (SCCC), NSCA (CSCS), FRCms, USA Weightlifting (Sport Performance Coach Level 1), the Gray Institute (3D Maps) and is RPR-2 certified.
A two-sport student-athlete at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, Ogden participated in both track & field and football. He was a seven-time NAIA National Track Meet qualifier and earned NAIA All-America honors in 2011. Ogden was also a six-time GPAC all-conference selection in track and a two-time pick in football. In 2009, he was voted the football program's most valuable player.
A native of What Cheer, Iowa, Ogden graduated with his bachelor's degree in exercise science from Northwestern College in May 2011 and his master's degree in nutrition, exercise and food sciences from South Dakota State in May 2013. He is married to the former Caitlyn Nerem, and the couple has a daughter, Ellie.
