LOGAN, Utah -

-- Saturday's USU game captains were #1 junior CB Kejon Murphy and #10 senior QB Sean Setzer.

-- Utah State won its first WAC opener in its four-year history in the league... The Aggies won their conference opener for the first time since 2004 when USU won its Sun Belt Opener, but have now won five of its last eight league openers.

-- USU won its third WAC game in a row dating back to last season, currently the second-longest conference winning streak behind the 15-game streak by Hawai'i... USU takes over sole possession of first-place in the WAC as the USU-Idaho game was the only conference game Saturday.

-- USU's 580 yards of total offense was the most since 684 vs. Weber State on Nov. 17, 2001... It was the most against a Division I team since 595 at Boise State, Nov. 11, 2000.

-- The 356 rushing yards was USU's first 300-yard rushing game since 322 vs. New Mexico State on Nov. 4, 2000... The 356 rushing yards were the most since 388 at Nevada on Nov. 20, 1999.

-- The 42 points were the most scored under USU head coach Brent Guy and the most since 49 in a 49-0 win over Arkansas State on Oct. 25, 2003.

-- The 25-point margin of victory was also the most under Guy and also the most since the 49-0 win over Ark. State on Oct. 25, 2003.

-- With 123 rushing yards, redshirt freshman RB Robert Turbin became USU's first 100-yard rusher since Marcus Cross had 127 at BYU on Sept. 23, 2006.

-- The 97-yard scoring drive in the fourth quarter is the longest USU drive since at least 2004.

-- Redshirt freshman RB Robert Turbin had a season-long 27-yard reception in the first quarter.

-- Sophomore QB Diondre Borel had a career-long 33 yard rush with his second-quarter TD scamper.

-- The 49-yard rush by Turbin in the third quarter was Turbin's career-long as well as USU's longest rush of the season and its longest since a 51-yard rush by Chris Forbes on Oct. 1, 2005, also against Idaho.

-- USU amassed 176 yards of total offense in the second quarter alone, eclipsing last week's game total vs. Utah of 116... The Aggies passed their previous season-high of offense of 314 in the season-opener at UNLV in the third quarter on its first drive of the half which resulted in the TD.

-- The 46-yard TD pass play from Borel to redshirt freshman Stanley Morrison was a career-long for both and was USU's longest pass play of the season... It was also USU's longest pass play since an 82-yard pass play last year vs. Louisiana Tech on Oct. 27 from Leon Jackson III to Jacob Actkinson.

-- USU only punted once in a game for the first time since Nov. 9, 2002 vs. New Mexico State.

-- The 26 first downs were also the most since 26 vs. New Mexico State on Nov. 9, 2002.

-- USU's first down on its opening drive was the first time that the Aggies did not go three-and-out on their opening offensive possession.

-- Senior C Ryan Tonnemacher had his team-leading consecutive start streak snapped last week after 26 straight starts, made his team-leading 31st career start overall... Junior LB Paul Igboeli now leads the team with 24 starts in a row... Senior LB Jake Hutton made his 30th career start overall.

-- It was USU's first home win since a 13-12 home triumph over Fresno State on Oct. 7, 2006, snapping a seven-game home losing skein.

-- USU now leads the all-time series, 17-16-2 as the Aggies improve to 8-6-0 vs. the Vandals at Logan.

-- USU's win as the home team was the first by the home team since 2005, as the visiting team had won the previous two meetings.
