UTAH STATE POSTGAME NOTES VS. NEVADA

TEAM NOTES

· Utah State improved to 30-4 on the season and trails only Memphis (31-3) for the most wins in the nation.

· Utah State improved to 7-5 all-time in conference championship games, including a 1-2 record in the WAC finals. USU also improved to 3-1 in championship games as the No. 1 seed and is now 12-5 all-time as the top seed. Overall, USU is now 34-24 in conference tournaments.

· Utah State has played in the championship game of the WAC Tournament three times in its four years in the league and in eight of its last 10 years overall.

· Utah State is now 8-3 all-time in the WAC Tournament. USU also improved to 4-1 all-time against Nevada in the postseason.

· Under head coach Stew Morrill, Utah State is now 21-6 in conference tournaments which includes a 21-5 record in the last 10 years and a 5-3 record in the championship game.

· Utah State improved to 23-0 on the season when leading at the half, including a 204-21 record over the last 10 years.

· Utah State shot 50 percent from the field for the 20th time this year.

· Utah State's 44 rebounds are its second-most this year (48 vs. Howard).

· Utah State improved to 24-2 on the season when it out-rebounds its opponent.

· Utah State improved to 23-0 this year when it commits fewer fouls than its opponent.

· Utah State is now 33-15 on neutral courts under Coach Morrill.

· The 72 field goal attempts by Nevada are tied for the most by a USU opponent this year along with Wyoming. UN's 11 steals are also the third-most by a USU opponent this season.

· The 30.6 percent shooting by Nevada is the lowest for a USU opponent since Hawai'i shot 28.6 percent, a span of 15 games. Overall, it is the second-lowest shooting percentage by a USU opponent this year.

PLAYER NOTES

· Gary Wilkinson now has 1,050 points in his career to rank 29th all-time in school history. This season he has scored 583 points, which ranks 16th all-time at USU for a single-season. It was Wilkinson's 30th double-figure scoring game this year and 58th in his career. It was also his 10th 20-point game of the year and 14th of his career.

· Pooh Williams scored in double-figures for the seventh time this year and eighth time in his career.

· Tai Wesley scored in double-figures for the 25th time this year and 43rd time in his career. He also tied his career-high with 11 rebounds and notched his fourth double-double of the season and sixth of his career.

Jared Quayle scored in double-figures for the 24th time this year and posted his third double-double of the season.
