BOREL BITS
-- Senior QB Diondre Borel became the No. 2 career passer in Utah State history with the 16-yard pass to junior WR Eric Moats in the second quarter, moving past Tony Adams (1970-72) who had 6,226 yards from 1970-72... Borel now has 6,295 passing yards for his career... Jose Fuentes has the No. 1 spot with 8,791 yards from 1999-2002.
-- Borel now has 7,637 career yards of total offense, moving to No. 23 on the WAC total offense list, passing Mike McCoy (Utah (1992-94) with 7,559 yards and Marc Wilson (BYU, 1977-79) with 7,602... John Walsh (BYU, 1991, 1993-94) is No. 22 with 7,736 yards.
-- Borel's third quarter rushing TD gives him six rushing scores this season and 16 for his career... He has a rushing TD in 15 career games.
-- Borel has a rushing TD in three-straight games this season and a total of six games.
-- Borel is at No. 9 on USU's career rushing TD list with 16 career TD's, closing in on No. 8 spot held by Roy Shivers with 18 from 1964-65.

SWERVIN' DERRVIN
-- Senior RB Derrvin Speight became USU's first 100-yard rusher this season and the first since Robert Turbin had 113 yards at Idaho last season.
-- Speight's 114-yards is a career-high, topping the 99-yards from his freshman season of 2007.
-- Speight scored his fifth TD of the season, the most for a USU RB this year.
-- Speight's five TD's this season is a career best for his career, topping the three from his freshman season.
-- The five TD's equals Speight's career TD total entering his final season, as he had three as a freshman and two as a junior, giving him 10 total TD's for his Aggie career.
PETE'S KICKIN' IT
-- Senior P/PK Peter Caldwell's 44-yard second quarter field goal and the 24-yarder in the fourth quarter give Caldwell seven field goals this season.
-- Caldwell is now 30-of-44 for his career, taking over sole possession of No. 6 on USU's career field goal attempts list... He also holds the No. 6 spot in career field goals made and No. 5 on the Aggies' career field goal percentage list (.682).
MOATS NOTES
-- Junior WR Eric Moats' 10-yard TD run was his first rushing TD this season.
-- It was the first rushing TD by a wide receiver this season, and the first WR to score a rushing TD since Lynwood Johnson on Nov. 12, 2005 against Hawai'i.
SPREADING THE RUSHING TD'S OUT
-- USU now has seven different players score a rushing TD this season, the most since 1972 when the Aggies also had seven.
WAGNER THE WRANGLER
-- Junior LB Bobby Wagner registered 17 tackles Saturday, tying his career-high from the Fresno State game.
-- The 17 stops posted by Wagner twice now is the most in the WAC this season, as Wagner now has three of the top six tackle outings with his 15 at LA Tech.
-- Saturday's 17-stop outing was Wagner's sixth double-digit tackle game this season and the 13th of his career.
-- Wagner now has 105 tackles on the season, marking his second-straight season with at least 100 stops, and the fourth-straight year that a USU linebacker logged triple-digit stops (Jake Hutton in 2007 and 2008, Wagner last year).
-- Wagner how has 271 career tackles (121 solo, 150 assists), leaving him 47 tackles from reaching the WAC's career tackle top 10 list, as the No. 10 spot is currently held by Derrick Richardson (NMSU, 2005-08)... Wagner also is 56 tackles shy of USU's career tackles top 10 list, as Al Smith (1984-86) holds the No. 10 spot with 327 stops.
HISTORICAL NOTES
-- Utah State rallied from a halftime deficit to win for the first time this season (now 1-5 when trailing at half) and it was USU's first second-half comeback for a win since 2007, when USU rallied from a 10-7 halftime deficit at New Mexico State.
-- Utah State now leads the all-time series with New Mexico State, 28-7, winning three of the last four and five of the last seven.
-- USU leads the series at Logan, 13-3, winning for the second-straight match-up on the navy Aggies' home turf, and four of the last five.
-- The combined scoring margin of the last two meetings is eight points after NMSU's three-point win, 20-17, last year at Las Cruces.
-- USU is now 4-2 vs. NMSU in their six years in the WAC together, as the pair of Aggies have been in four different conferences together over time (Pacific Coast 1985-87, Big West 1988-2000, Sun Belt 2003-04, and WAC 2005-present).
-- Utah State improves to 36-18 (.667) against teams for the state of New Mexico, improving to 28-7 vs. NMSU and USU is 8-11 vs. New Mexico.
START STREAKING STATS
-- Senior QB Diondre Borel started for his team-leading 30th-consecutive game and made his 30th career start... Borel is just one of four QB's in the country to have all of their career starts in consecutive order with more than 25 games, currently fourth (Adam Weber-Minnesota 48/48; Trevor Vittatoe-UTEP 45/45; Kellen Moore-Boise State 35/35; Borel 30/30).
