LOGAN, Utah - Utah State men's and women's tennis competed in three matches against College of Idaho Saturday. The men won both of their matches, 7-0, while the women defeated College of Idaho, 7-0. The Aggie men tallied up a 9-4 record this season, while the women improved to 6-3.

USU men started the day off with a clean sweep over College of Idaho, 7-0, at 9 am. In doubles action, the Aggies claimed the point with victories at all three positions. Juniors Jakob Asplund and Bryan Marchant defeated the C of I's Chenjerai Simpson and Max Nguyen, 8-2. In single competition, USU continued to dominate the Coyotes taking all six single points. Freshman Sven Poslusny defeated C of I's Mark Mamstrom, 6-1, 6-0, at the two spot.

Utah State women's tennis swept College of Idaho, 7-0, at 11 a.m. The Aggies took the doubles point with victories at all three positions. Junior Hailey Swenson and freshman Jaclyn West continued their four game winning streak with a victory over C of I's Kim Clements and Kate Leadbetter, 8-1, at the one spot. Swenson and West hold an Aggie high 8-1 season record, all at the one position. USU swept singles action, winning all six points. Freshmen Jenny Phillips, Whitney White and Mersadi Wilkins made their first Aggie performances with wins at each of their respective positions.

USU men's tennis concluded the day with another 7-0 victory over College of Idaho. The Aggies won the doubles point with victories at all three positions. Sophomore Nate Ballam and freshman Jose Limon defeated C of I's Max Nguyen and Mark Mamstrom, 8-1, at the one spot. Utah State continued to dominate the Coyotes with victories at all six positions. Freshman Tanner Dance won his first Aggie appearance with a victory over C of I's Chris Miller, 6-0, 6-1, at the six position.

Utah state women's tennis plays in-state rival Weber State on Tuesday, March 9 in Ogden at 11 a.m. Both the men's and women's teams travel to San Luis Obispo, Calif. to compete March 19 and 20.
