SAN DIEGO, Calif. -

-- Senior QB Diondre Borel started for the 25th-consecutive game, which leads USU, as well as Borel's 25th career start... Junior LB Bobby Wagner made his 19th-straight start, ranking second on the team.

-- Senior OL Spencer Johnson made his team-leading 35th career start, and his 16th-straight start... Joining Johnson for third on the team-best list in making their 16th-consecutive starts was the senior CB duo of Chris Randle and Rajric Coleman.

-- Freshman RB Robert Marshall made his Aggie debut by not only playing in his first game this season but starting as well.

-- Freshman CB Nevin Lawson also made his Aggie debut, seeing action on special teams, and freshman PK Nick Diaz made his USU debut, kicking both of the Aggies' kickoffs.

-- Three freshmen saw their first action as an Aggie Saturday night, giving USU eight true freshmen in action this season: #6 CB Nevin Lawson, #13 QB Jeremy Higgins, #18 WR/CB Rashard Stewart #32 PK/P Braeden Loveless, #42 RB Robert Marshall, #80 WR Travis Reynolds, #90 DT Jason Fanaika and #99 PK Nick Diaz.

-- USU's scoreless first quarter was the second time this season that the Aggies' were held scoreless in the opening stanza, also doing so at Oklahoma on Sept. 4... The 21 points scored by SDSU were the most yielded by the USU defense in a quarter this season and the most since Boise State scored 28 points in the second quarter on Nov. 20, 2009... It was the most in an opening quarter since BYU hung 24 on the scoreboard on Oct. 3, 2008.

-- With his first quarter reception, junior WR Eric Moats now has at least one reception in 16-straight games.

-- Senior QB Diondre Borel has now surpassed the 400 career competion and 700 career pass attempts milestones, becoming the seventh USU QB to do so for both categories.

-- USU was held scoreless in a half for the first time this season and the first since San Jose State game on Oct. 11, 2008.

-- Sophomore CB Quinton Byrd snared his second interception of the season, which now leads the team.

-- Senior LB Joey Schrader recorded his first career fumble recovery, covering the fumbled punt return in the third quarter.

-- Senior RB Derrvin Speight tallied his second TD of the season and seventh of his career.

-- Freshman PK Braeden Loveless tallied his first USU career point with his third-quarter PAT.
