POST-GAME NOTESUtah State vs. Louisiana Tech - 1/20/11

TEAM NOTES
* Utah State set a WAC record by winning its 20th straight league game. The old record was held by Utah who won 19 straight WAC games during the 1997-98 and 1998-99 seasons.
* Utah State has now won 12 straight games, which is a season-high, and 32 of its last 34 regular season games dating back to last year. That 12-game winning streak is tied for the sixth-longest winning streak in school history.
* Utah State has started a season by winning at least 17 of its first 19 games for the fourth time under head coach Stew Morrill and for the fifth time in school history.
* Utah State has won 25 straight home games dating back to last year and 77 of its last 79 overall. Under Morrill, USU is now 187-13 at home including a 95-8 conference record and a 40-3 WAC mark.
* Utah State is 6-0 to start Western Athletic Conference play for the second time in its six years in the league as the 2008-09 team won its first 12 WAC games. USU is also 6-0 to start conference play for the fourth time under Morrill and for the seventh time in school history.
* Utah State has won 27 straight WAC games at home and 36 of its last 37 WAC games at home overall.
* Utah State improved to 81-22 during January under Morrill including a 46-3 record at home. Overall, USU has won 36 straight home games during the month of January.
* Utah State is 12-0 this year and has won 20 straight games when allowing less than 60 points. Overall, USU is 169-9 under Morrill when allowing less than 60 points.
* Utah State improved to 15-0 on the season when it out-rebounds its opponent.
* Utah State improved to 14-0 this year and has won 38 straight games when leading at the half.
* Utah State is now 12-1 this year and has won 53 of its last 55 games when scoring 70 points.
* Utah State's bench improved to 11-2 this year when it out-scores its opponent's bench.
* Utah State had five players score in double-figures for the first time this year.
* Louisiana Tech's three made free throws and four free throw attempts are both season-lows for a USU opponent this year, while its 15 assists are tied for a season-high by a USU opponent.
* Utah State shot a season-high 88.9 percent from the line (16-18) and its 12 team fouls are tied for its fewest in a game this year.

PLAYER NOTES
* Senior forward Tai Wesley scored in double-figures for the 15th time this year and 88th time in his career with 14 points. He also had four field goals tonight to give him 576 in his career moving him ahead of Dean Hunger (573) and into ninth-place all-time at USU.
* Wesley also took two charges tonight to give him six this season.
* Junior guard Brockeith Pane scored in double-figures for the 11th time this year with 11 points. He also had a season-high nine assists.
* Senior forward Nate Bendall scored in double-figures for the second straight game and for the fourth time this year. Overall, it is his 21st career double-figure scoring game.
* Senior guard Pooh Williams scored in double-figures for the seventh time this year and 29th time in his career with 11 points.
* Senior guard Brian Green scored in double-figures for the ninth time this year and 17th time in his career with 10 points.
* Senior guard Tyler Newbold tied his career-high with a season-best 11 rebounds for his third career double-figure rebounding game. He also tied his career-high with three steals.
* Newbold started his 114th career game tonight which ranks third all-time at Utah State. Wesley started his 113th career game which ranks fourth all-time at USU.
* Newbold and Wesley both played in their 124th career games ranking tied for fourth all-time at USU. Senior guard Pooh Williams played in his 116th career game, which ranks tied for 11th all-time in school history along with Reid Newey (1984, 87-89).
* Junior forward Brady Jardine had his team-leading 18th dunk of the season.
