LOGAN, Utah -

TEAM NOTES
* Utah State has now won 29-straight home games against in-state competition and is now 31-1 (.969) at home against teams from the state of Utah under USU head coach Stew Morrill. The only in-state team to defeat USU at home under Morrill was Brigham Young, 82-73, on Jan. 8, 2000.
* Utah State has won 36 of their last 46 overall games (.783) against in-state opponents and is 44-14 (.759) against the state of Utah in the last 15 years under Morrill.
* Utah State improved to 238-27 at home under Morrill, including a 119-10 home record in non-conference games.
* Utah State improved to 81-29 all-time in season openers and has now won 20 of its last 21 season openers. USU is also 16-1 in season openers under head coach Stew Morrill, including a perfect 9-0 home record. USU has also won 33 of its last 34 games when starting the season at home.
* Utah State is now 41-26 all-time against Weber State and has won 15 of the last 17 games played in the series.
* Utah State head coach Stew Morrill is now 20-9 all-time against Weber State, including a 13-5 record at USU.
* USU has won 107 of its last 117 games (.915) when scoring 70 points and is 249-35 (.877) all-time under head coach Stew Morrill when scoring 70 points in a game. * Utah State was just 2-11 last year when trailing at the half and is now 50-95 (.345) when trailing at the half under Morrill.
* The 47 points allowed by Utah State are the most in any half since Colorado State scored 47 second-half points against USU last year, and the most first-half points allowed since Louisiana Tech scored 49 first-half points against USU during the 2012-13 season.
* The 14 points allowed by Utah State in the second half are its fewest allowed in any half since Troy scored just 13 first-half points against USU in 2010 and the fewest second-half points allowed since Western Oregon scored just 12 second-half points against USU during the 2009-10 season.
* The 18-point halftime deficit overcome by Utah State is its largest according to available records since at least the 1998-99 season, topping USU's comeback from a 13-point halftime deficit (47-34) to defeat New Mexico State, 71-70, in the semifinals of the 2009 WAC Tournament.

PLAYER NOTES
* Forward David Collette's 22 points are the most by points scored by a freshman in the opening game of the season in school history, topping the 19 points Jaycee Carroll scored against Georgia Southern to start his career in 2004. It is also the most points scored by an Aggie newcomer since Brockeith Pane scored 23 points at home against Weber State in his USU debut to start the 2010-11 season.
* Sophomore wing Jalen Moore scored a career-high 20 points and tied his career-high with eight rebounds.
