UTAH STATE MEN'S BASKETBALL
Post-Game Quotes
vs. Adams State ââ'¬" Nov. 17, 2015 Utah State Head Coach Tim Duryea:
"Tough game to play. It was a tough match-up and we knew that going in. They can put four or five guards on the floor. Anytime you play a team that does that, it makes it tough for a traditional Division I team. I thought we were very solid in the first half and did a lot of good things. My overall impression of the second half without watching the film isn't great. We were too sloppy with the ball. We didn't execute the press breaker or guard the ball on defense. The second half was not very good. There were too many mistakes and turnovers."
On picking up from the slow start early in the game:
"Once we got going, we did a good job of making the simple plays and making the right plays. We missed a ton of open shots. The guys have been making them in practice, we just need to find our rhythm out there."
Utah State Junior Wing Jalen Moore:
"We came out with a lot of energy in the first half. We played them well defensively, guarding their best player pretty well. It slipped a little bit in the second half, when we let them get some easy points. We need to work on our half-court defense and finishing games out a little better. The 18-2 run was huge for us, giving us a big lead and digging a deep hole for them. If you play that sloppy in the second half, a Division I team will be able to come back and make a game out of it."
Adams State Head Coach Russ Caton:
"I am grateful for the experience and the opportunity to be able to play at a high level. It really helps us see the holes and weaknesses in our game. I thought Utah State did a great job of preparing themselves for what we were going to do. They took us out of our game, and exposed our weaknesses. We got what we deserved."
