TEAM NOTES
* Utah State is now 20-14 all-time in Mountain West play, including a 12-5 home record. USU is now 28-7 in its last 35 home games, including a 20-7 record under head coach Matt Wells.
* Utah State blocked its fourth punt this season in the second quarter. USU also had blocked punts against Idaho State, Wake Forest and San Jose State. The school record for blocks in a season is six set in 2012.
* Utah State had one player make their first career start today in redshirt freshman OL Demytrick Ali'ifua (58).
* Captains for today's game are senior BS Dallin Leavitt (2), senior QB Kent Myers (2), junior BS Gaje Ferguson (23) and sophomore LB Justus Te'i (51).
OFFENSIVE PLAYER NOTES
* Senior QB Kent Myers (2) had one touchdown pass, giving him seven touchdown passes this season and 38 in his career, which ranks fifth all-time in school history. Myers has now thrown a touchdown pass in 23 games in his career.
* Senior QB Kent Myers was 17-of-29 passing and has now completed 520 passes in his career as he moved ahead of Diondre Borel (2007-10, 517) and into third place all-time in school history in career completions. Myers also now has 849 pass attempts in his career, as he moved ahead of Anthony Calvillo (1992-93, 829) and into seventh place all-time in school history.
* Senior QB Kent Myers (2) tied his career high with 16 rushing attempts.
* Senior RB LaJuan Hunt (21) tied his career high for the third time with four receptions. Hunt also caught his first touchdown pass of the season and third of his career on a 22-yard reception.
* Senior RB LaJuan Hunt (21) rushed for 19 yards, giving him 1,248 rushing yards in his career as he moved ahead of Archie Gibson (1972-73, 1,235) and into 21st place all-time in school history.
* Redshirt sophomore TE Dax Raymond (87) had a career high six receptions.
* Junior RB Eltoro Allen (22) had a season-high five receptions for a season-best 45 yards, including a season-long of 17 yards.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER NOTES
* Junior LB Suli Tamaivena (42) had a career high 14 tackles for his second double-digit tackle outing of the season. He also had 0.5 tackles for loss, giving him 2.0 TFL's this season.
* Junior BS Gaje Ferguson (23) had a career high 13 tackles for his second double-digit tackle outing his season and the fourth of his career.
* Sophomore DE Jacoby Wildman (93) had a career high seven tackles.
* Sophomore LB Dalton Baker had a career high seven tackles.
* Senior CB Jalen Davis had a season high six tackles and one pass breakup, giving him six this season and 28 in his career.
* Junior NG Gasetoto Schuster (56) forced his second fumble of the season and his career. Schuster also had 1.0 tackles for loss, giving him 2.0 TFL's this year and in his career.
* Senior DE Ian Togiai (19) had 1.0 tackles for loss, giving him 3.0 TFL's this season and 6.5 in his career.
* Junior LB Chase Christiansen (48) had 1.0 tackles for loss, giving him 2.0 tackles for loss this year and 6.0 in his career.
* Sophomore NG Christopher 'Unga (96) had a career high 1.5 tackles for loss, giving him 1.0\5 TFL's this year and 2.0 in his career.
* Sophomore CB Cameron Haney (6) had 1.0 tackles for loss, giving him 2.0 TFL's this year and in his career.
SPECIAL TEAM PLAYER NOTES
* Junior QB DJ Nelson (18) blocked his second punt of the season and in his career in the second quarter and returned it 20 yards for his first career touchdown.
* Junior P Aaron Dalton (89) had three punts downed inside the 20-yard line, giving him 13 punts this year and 59 in his career downed inside the 20-yard line. Dalton also had a 54-yard punt in the second quarter, giving him six punts this year and 23 in his career of 50-plus yards.
