USU vs. Utah Post-Game Quotes
Utah 77, Utah State 67

Head coach Tim Duryea
"Really poor start on our part. We were not aggressive at all and kind of standing around waiting to see what would happen a little bit. They were tremendous to start the game. They got off to a great start and executed, knocked down everything they looked at and we dug ourselves a hole that we're not going to dig out of very often. But we had some good stretches on both ends, got back to four where it's anybody's game and then we have a stretch where we go eight or nine possessions and don't come up with anything. The start was not competitive, not good. It felt like we were kind of waiting around to see how good they were."

Junior forward Quinn Taylor
"We came out a little flat. You never want to start a game 19-2, it's really hard to play from behind. Everyone stuck in there, we made it a game, we got it to a winnable situation, we just had some empty possessions late in the second half once we got up into a game. They capitalized on the other end and we didn't. I'm proud of our guys for fighting. It would have been really easy to come out and be down almost 20 and give up, but kept fighting, kept trying and that's what we're going to do all season."

Junior guard DeAngelo Isby
"Utah came out very aggressive, very strong, they made a lot of shots, they were hot to begin the game. We came out a little timid, but we picked it up as we usually do. We're a great defensive team, so we fought our way back into the game. We just came short, just fell short a little bit."
