Aggie Volleyball Taking On No. 14 Colorado State Saturday

USU hosting league-leading Rams

LOGAN, Utah – Utah State volleyball (2-17, 2-5 MW) is set to host No. 14 Colorado State (17-1, 7-0 MW) on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 1 p.m.

The volleyball match is the first half of a USU doubleheader, as the football team will take on Nevada at 8:15 p.m. Fans can receive free admission to the volleyball match with proof of a football ticket purchase. 

All 2019 Mountain West matches, along with all of Utah State's home matches, will be broadcast as a USU Athletics Production on the Mountain West Network. All video feeds will be available live and in archive form at utahstateaggies.com/watch. Live stats will also be provided by SIDEARM for all home games, while road contests will also have live stats available. Links to each option will be available online prior to every match. In-match updates will also be provided through the team's social media outlets.

Colorado State is riding a 16-match winning streak, sitting at 17-1 on the year. The Rams lead the Mountain West with a perfect league record, dropping just six sets throughout conference play. CSU is hitting .278 (856-301-1,997) on the season, while holding opponents to just .100 (599-398-2,006). Redshirt senior middle blocker Kirstie Hillyer leads the attack for the Rams, hitting .398 (171-37-337), while redshirt junior outside hitter Breana Runnels is averaging a team-high 3.72 kills per set. Senior setter Katie Oleksak is averaging a MW-best 10.66 assists per set, while junior libero Alexa Roumeliotis averages 3.84 digs per set. Junior middle Paulina Hougaard-Jensen leads the Rams on the block, averaging 1.34 per set. 

Utah State is hitting .140 (666-344-2,294) on the season. Sophomore middle blocker Corinne Larsen leads the team attack, hitting .185 (86-36-271). Senior setter Heidi Carpenter is averaging 5.91 assists per set, while freshman libero Grace DuBay is adding a team-high 3.21 digs per set. Sophomore middle Autumn Spafford is the leading blocker for the Aggies, averaging 1.25 per set.
