LOGAN, Utah – Utah State volleyball (1-15, 1-3 MW) will open its week of road matches at UNLV (6-9, 2-2 MW)on Thursday, Oct. 10, at 7:30 p.m. (MT).
All 2019 Mountain West matches, along with all of Utah State's home matches, will be broadcast as a USU Athletics Production on the Mountain West Network. All video feeds will be available live and in archive form at utahstateaggies.com/watch. Live stats will also be provided by SIDEARM for all home games, while road contests will also have live stats available. Links to each option will be available online prior to every game. In-game updates will also be provided through the team's social media outlets.
UNLV opens the week on a two-match winning streak, having defeated San Diego State (3-1) and Fresno State (3-2) last week to move to 6-9 overall and 2-2 in Mountain West action. As a team, UNLV is hitting .221 (850-352-2,254), with Macy Smith leading the group at .310 (115-39-245) and Shelby Capllonch averaging a team-best 3.03 kills per set. Running a 6-2, setters Antonette Rolda and Lauryn Burt are averaging 5.63 and 4.81 assists per set, respectively. Defensively, Mariena Hayden leads the Rebels with 3.00 digs per set, while Smith and Kate Brennan are the top blockers with 0.84 per set apiece.
Utah State is hitting .128 (543-297-1,918) on the season. Sophomore middle blocker Corinne Larsen leads the team attack, hitting .204 (80-31-2409). Senior setter Heidi Carpenter is averaging 6.47 assists per set, while freshman libero Grace DuBay is adding a team-high 3.15 digs per set. Junior middle Bailey Downing is the leading blocker for the Aggies, averaging 1.10 per set.
