LOGAN, Utah – Utah State volleyball (0-3) continues its season-opening homestand this week as it hosts in-state rival Utah (3-0) on Tuesday, Sept. 3, at 6 p.m.

All 2019 Mountain West matches, along with all of Utah State's home matches, will be broadcast as a USU Athletics Production on the Mountain West Network. All video feeds will be available live and in archive form at utahstateaggies.com/watch. Live stats will also be provided by SIDEARM for all home games. Links to each option will be available online prior to every game. In-game updates will also be provided through the team's social media outlets.

Utah makes the trip to Logan after going 3-0 in its opening weekend tournament. The Utes' three wins included a 3-0 upset of No. 7 Kentucky, as well as a 3-2 win over No. 23 Cal Poly. Junior outside hitter Kenzie Koerber leads the Utah attack, as she hit .315 over the weekend, averaging 3.55 kills per set. As a team, the Utes are hitting .191 (138-65-382). Utah is averaging 4.18 blocks per set, led by redshirt senior middle blocker Berkeley Oblad, who averaged 2.09 blocks per set in the team's three wins. Junior setter Saige Ka'aha'aina-Torres is averaging 9.82 assists per set.

There is a long history between Utah State and Utah, but Tuesday will be the first meeting since 2016. The Utes lead the all-time series, 46-25, where the Aggies are 10-18 in matches played in Logan. Utah has won the last five contests, with USU's last victory coming in 2010.

USU continues to seek its first win of the year after dropping three close matches at last weekend's Utah State Invitational. As a team, the Aggies are hitting .151 (131-68-417), led by sophomore middle blocker Corinne Larsen, who is hitting .233 (22-8-60) on the year. Senior setter Heidi Carpenter is averaging 8.36 assists per set, while junior middle Bailey Downing has a team-high eight blocks.
