LOGAN, Utah – Utah State volleyball (0-13, 0-1 MW) will play its first Mountain West road match on Thursday, Sept. 26, when it plays at Air Force (3-9, 0-0 MW) at 6:30 p.m.
All 2019 Mountain West matches, along with all of Utah State's home matches, will be broadcast as a USU Athletics Production on the Mountain West Network. All video feeds will be available live and in archive form at utahstateaggies.com/watch. Live stats will also be provided by SIDEARM for all home games, while road contests will also have live stats available. Links to each option will be available online prior to every game. In-game updates will also be provided through the team's social media outlets.
Air Force opens its Mountain West slate with a 3-9 overall record. The Falcons hosted two preseason tournaments, most recently going 1-2 against Denver, Montana and Santa Clara. As a team, Air Force is hitting .154 (569-312-1,667), where freshman middle blocker Taleah Cooper is leading the team at .245 (48-22-106). Junior setter Andi Ahlers is averaging 8.73 assists per set. Defensively, junior libero Alex King is averaging 4.15 digs per set, while Cooper leads the Falcons on the block with 0.96 per set.
Utah State is hitting .119 (433-247-1,513) on the season. Sophomore middle blocker Corinne Larsen leads the team attack, hitting .193 (62-25-192). Senior setter Heidi Carpenter is averaging 7.33 assists per set, while freshman libero Grace DuBay is adding a team-high 3.13 digs per set. Junior middle Bailey Downing is the leading blocker for the Aggies, averaging 1.17 per set.
