LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Utah State senior Kyle Brost broke his own school record in the men's triple jump to highlight the Aggies' final day at the UNLV Spring Invitational & Sheila Tarr-Smith Multis on Saturday at Myron Partridge Stadium.

Brost placed third in the event with his mark of 15.63 meters (51-3.50). He broke his previous school record of 15.47 meters (50-9.25) set during the 2019 outdoor season.

BYU's Rickey Fantroy captured the triple jump title with a mark of 16.37 meters (53-8.50), while Utah Valley's Albert MacArthur, competing unattached, placed second with a mark of 15.78 meters (51-9.25). Fantroy, MacArthur and Brost all broke the previous facility record of 15.61 meters (51-2.75) set by New Mexico's Floyd Ross in 2013.

Brost helped the Aggies, who didn't compete any of their distance runners, place third in the 10-team field with 70 points.

Maia Garren captured a pair of titles on the women's side for the Aggies. The senior won the shot put title with a personal-best heave of 15.55 meters (51-0.25), which ranks fourth all-time in school history, and she was the discus with a personal-best toss of 48.96 meters (160-7).

Garren and the women placed fifth in the 12-team field with 62 points.

Utah State swept the shot put event as senior Kyle Morris won the men's title with a personal-best toss of 18.19 meters (59-8.25), which ranks eighth all-time in school history, and he placed second in the javelin with a heave of 66.37 meters (217-9).

Freshman Kelton Chenworth made his Aggie debut by placing second in the high jump with a height of 2.08 meters (6-9.75), giving the Utah State men four top-three finishes on the day.

Hailey Suit also broke into Utah State's record books as the junior from Kent, Wash., placed ninth in the women's 100 meters with a time of 11.89, which is tied for eighth all-time in school history.

Besides Garren, the only other Aggie to finish in the top three on the women's side was junior Alexis Koetitz, who placed third in the 100-meter hurdles with a career-best time of 14.36.

UP NEXT: Utah State has a week off before splitting the following weekend between the UVU Collegiate Invitational (April 2-3) in Orem, and the Stanford Invitational (April 3) in Stanford, Calif.
