LOGAN, Utah – Utah State's cross country teams are headed to the Land of Enchantment for the NCAA Mountain Regionals on Friday, Nov. 11, on the UNM Golf Course in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The women's 6K race is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. (MT), with the men's 10K following at noon. Live results will be available here.

The top two teams in each regional secure automatic bids to the NCAA Championships, which will be held on Saturday, Nov. 19, at the OSU Cross Country Course in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The first four regional finishers not from an automatic qualifying or at-large team also secure an auto-bid to the championships.

If a team doesn't secure an automatic bid, it will have to rely on the NCAA DI Cross Country Subcommittee to select it as one of the 13 at-large teams. Only two individual at-larges are selected, making a strong regional performance pivotal to advancing toward a national title.

Scheduled to compete for the Aggie men include grad senior Darren Harman, seniors Bridger Altice, Mark Crandall, Spencer Nelson and Camren Todd, and juniors Yonas Mogos and Max Wehrli.

Competing for Utah State in the women's race on Friday will be seniors Bailey Brinkerhoff, Abby Jensen and Mica Rivera, junior Morgan French, and sophomores Kaybree Christensen, Emma Thornley and Ana Weaver.

Last season at regionals, the Aggie women placed seventh with 199 points. Of Utah State's returners, Rivera was the top finisher as she placed 39th with a time of 21:22.7. The men's team finished eighth with 177 points, with Harman the way with a 27th-place finish and time of 30:31.2.

In Utah State's last outing, both the men and women placed third at the Mountain West Cross Country Championships on Oct. 28 in Laramie, Wyoming. Weaver earned second-team all-league honors for the women, while Harman and Todd were also named to the all-conference second team.
