Senior catcher
Gabriella Jimenez and junior designated player
Makenzie Macfarlane led the Aggies with two hits each. Jimenez also led the team with two RBIs.
USU took an early 4-0 lead after scoring two runs in both the top of the first and second innings.
Jimenez got the scoring started for the Aggies as she had a double to right field and scored on an RBI single from senior shortstop

Senior first baseman

Sophomore second baseman
Zaia Castruita recorded her first home run of the season with a lead-off homer to center field in the top of the fifth to extend the Aggie lead to 5-0.
After the Lobos scored three runs with no outs in the bottom of the frame, senior pitcher

UNM scored once more in the bottom of the sixth to trim the USU edge to 5-4 heading into the final inning.
New Mexico had two runners in scoring position in the bottom of the seventh with two outs, but a pop up to Castruita at second base sealed the 5-4 USU victory.
