LOGAN, Utah — Utah State track & field will be represented by 11 athletes at the NCAA West Preliminaries in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on Wednesday through Saturday, May 25-28.

Athletes who ranked among the top-48 in the East or West regions in their respective event earned berths to the NCAA Preliminary Championships. For each relay event, the top-24 declared relay teams also qualified for the East and West prelims.

Athletes with the top-12 times/marks and the 12 best relay teams at both the East and West Preliminary Championships will advance to the NCAA Outdoor Finals, which are being held June 8-11, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

On the men's side, seniors Caleb Garnica and Connor Weaver will be competing in the 10,000 meters. Both Aggies put up their season-best performances in the event at the Stanford Invitational. Weaver finished with a time of 28:54.55, a time which ranks third all-time in the event at Utah State. Garnica ranks fourth all-time at USU in the 10,00 meters after registering a time of 28:58.24.
