LOGAN, Utah — Utah State's track & field teams are set to continue the outdoor season with a pair of California competitions. The Aggies will compete this weekend at both the Stanford Invitational and the West Coast Relays.
The West Coast Relays, hosted by Fresno State in Clovis, California, will take place on Thursday and Friday, March 30-31, beginning with the men's and women's hammer throws on Thursday at 1 p.m. (MT). A
full schedule of events is available via Fresno State.
Live results will be provided by Record Timing throughout the competition. The meet will also be available for
streaming on Flo Track.
The Stanford Invitational will be held on Friday and Saturday, March 31-April 1. The competition will begin on Friday at 11 a.m. (MT) with the men's hammer throw. A
full schedule of events is available through Stanford athletics.

Last weekend, Utah State opened its outdoor season at the Arizona-hosted Willie Williams Classic. Senior
Tori Bailey, junior
Olivia Smith and sophomore
Valerie Clark posted the high-water marks for the Aggies on the weekend. Bailey registered a third-place finish in the women's discus with a mark of 49.86 meters (163-7). Smith finished third in the women's 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:02.12. And Clark placed third in the women's javelin with a throw of 46.43 meters (152-4), improving on her own personal record, which ranks fourth all-time in school history. Junior
Djamilliah Paepke-Chile also placed sixth in the javelin with a mark of 41.54 meters (136-3).
On the men's side, junior
Gavin Beierle took fourth in the men's shot put with a mark of 16.77 meters (55-0.25), while fellow junior
Brandon Ovington placed sixth in the event with a mark of 15.99 meters (52-5.50). Sophomore
Marshall Rasmussen finished fourth in the men's pole vault with a mark of 4.75 meters (15-7).
Freshman
Milly Garren registered the final top-five finish for USU on the weekend, placing fifth in the women's shot put with a mark of 14.24 meters (46-8.75). Senior
Dolly Gabri also took sixth in the shot put with a throw of 13.97 meters (45-10).
Juniors
Emma Shippen and
Kelton Chenworth narrowly missed top-five finishes of their own on the weekend. Shippen placed sixth in the pole vault with a mark of 3.53 meters (11-7), while Chenworth took sixth in the high jump with a mark of 2.05 meters (6-8.75).
