LOGAN, Utah – Utah State softball lost 13-4 to UNLV on Saturday afternoon.
The Rebels scored at least one run in all five innings, scoring three in the first, one in the second, two in both the third and fourth, and five in the fifth.
The Aggies chipped away at the lead in the bottom of the fifth as sophomore pinch hitter
Taryn Edds had a leadoff home run over the left field wall. Redshirt freshman pinch hitter
Emily Dority singled to right field and senior center fielder
Tyler Thornton, who came back in to run the bases, scored on an RBI single from sophomore third baseman
Claire Raley. Graduate first baseman
Gabriella Jimenez brought home the final two runs for USU with a two-RBI single to center field as UNLV held on for the 13-4 win.
