Great Osobor has been named the America First Credit Union USU Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending on Sunday, Jan. 7. The award is voted on by a state-wide media panel.
The native of Bradford, England, led Utah State to a 2-0 start in Mountain West play and extended its win streak to 13-straight games after defeating Air Force 88-60 and No. 13/14 Colorado State 77-72.
Against the Falcons, he led the Aggies with a career-best 32 points, while adding nine rebounds, four assists and a steal.
Against the Rams, Osobor logged a double-double of 20 points and 14 rebounds, while adding three assists, two blocks and a steal.
For the week, Osobor averaged 26.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per game, while shooting 65.4 percent (17-of-26) from the field and 75.0 percent (18-of-24) at the free throw line.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL – Junior guard Cheyenne Stubbs (Bradenton, Florida) was the team's top scorer last week, averaging 11.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists as Utah State posted an 0-2 Mountain West home record with a 54-48 loss to Wyoming and a 69-54 loss to San José State. Against the Spartans, Stubbs went for a team-high 17 points, while also totaling three boards, four assists and a steal. Against the Cowgirls, she had five points and four rebounds. On the week, Stubbs shot 6-for-18 (.333) from the floor, 3-of-9 (.333) from 3-point range and 6-of-10 (.600) from the charity stripe.
GYMNASTICS – Senior Lexi Aragon (Salt Lake City, Utah) scored a career-high 9.850 on beam at the North Carolina Quad Meet last weekend to tie for first on the event, which was her first-career event title. Aragon also scored a 9.675 on bars. USU scored a 193.175 as it finished fourth in the quad meet.
