• On March 30, 2024, Jerrod Calhoun was named the 18th head coach in Utah State men's basketball history. Calhoun joins the Aggies after spending the past seven seasons at Youngstown State, where he logged a 118-106 overall record including five-straight winning seasons and three postseason appearances. Calhoun also served as the head coach at Fairmont State for five seasons, where he led the Falcons to a 124-38 record.
• Utah State is off to a 3-0 start this season after earning a 101-46 win over Alcorn State, a 103-74 win over Charlotte and a 117-53 win over Westminster.
• This is the first time in program history the team has started a year with back-to-back-to-back 100-point games, as well as the first time in Mountain West Conference history. This is just the third time overall a USU team has scored 100-plus in three-straight contests.
• Jerrod Calhoun is the eighth coach in program history to win his first three games at Utah State, and the first to do so since Craig Smith in 2018-19.
• Utah State scored 117 points in a 64-point win over Westminster last week. This is tied for the seventh-most points in a single game in program history, and the fifth-largest margin of victory in program history.
• Utah State is coming off of a Mountain West championship season in 2023-24 as the Aggies went 28-7 with a 14-4 mark in league play to capture the regular season title outright. This was the second MW championship for Utah State and the 18th overall conference championship in program history.
• In the 2024 NCAA Tournament, Utah State defeated TCU 88-72 in the first round to snap a 10-game losing streak in the NCAA Tournament and advance to the second round for the first time since defeating Ohio State 77-68 in overtime of the 2001 NCAA Tournament.
• This year's Utah State squad includes three returning starters and four returning letterwinners from last season, who will be joined by nine newcomers (seven transfers and two incoming freshmen). Returning starters include graduate guard

Isaac Johnson and sophomore guard
Mason Falslev.
• Monday's game will be the 43rd all-time meeting between Utah State and Montana, a series which dates back to 1913, though the teams haven't faced each other since 1981. In Logan, USU leads the all-time series 17-3.
