• Utah State is off to an 8-0 start for just the fourth time in program history. Head coach Jerrod Calhoun is the second coach to win each of his first eight games at Utah State, joining Ladell Anderson who started the 1961-62 season with eight-straight wins. With one more win, Calhoun will be off the best coaching start in program history.
• The Aggies have opened a season 9-0 just two times (1917-18, 2022-23). A win on Saturday would tie this team for the best start in program history.
• USU is one of just nine remaining unbeaten teams in college basketball, currently sitting at 8-0. Of the unbeaten teams, just four have played a tougher strength of schedule than the Aggies according to Massey ratings.
• In Utah State's win over Wyoming, graduate guard Ian Martinez scored the 1,000th point of his collegiate career. The former Utah Ute and Maryland Terrapin has scored over half of those points in an Aggie uniform.
• USU head coach Jerrod Calhoun also hit a major career milestone in the win over Wyoming, picking up his 250th win as a head coach. In his 13th season, he is now 250-144.
• Utah State is receiving votes in both the AP Top 25 and USA Today Coaches poll. The team spent 17 weeks ranked last season, climbing as high as No. 16 in the AP Poll.
• Martinez currently leads the Mountain West in points (19.1), free throw percentage (93.2), free throws made (55) and 3-point percentage (45.5). Sophomore guard Mason Falslev ranks sixth in the league in scoring with 17.3 points per contest.
• In the first NCAA men's basketball NET rankings, released earlier this week, Utah State debuted at No. 14. This was the team's highest ranking in the NET since Dec. 22, 2022. Most recently, USU is No. 21 in the NET.
• This will just the second all-time regular season meeting between Utah State and Utah Tech. The previous game was an 86-81 Aggie win in Logan on Dec. 1, 2022.
• All-time against in-state opponents, Utah State is 260-303 (.462).
