LOGAN, Utah — No. 18 Utah State men's basketball was well represented in the league's postseason awards as voted by the league's head coaches. Head coach Danny Sprinkle was named the Steve Fisher Coach of the Year, while junior wing Great Osobor was named both the Player and Newcomer of the Year and junior guard Josh Uduje the Co-Sixth Man of the Year.

Osobor and graduate guard Darius Brown II each earned first team all-MW accolades, while senior guard Ian Martinez was an honorable mention selection. Brown was also named to the defensive team.

Sprinkle led a USU squad that returned zero points and welcomed 13 newcomers to its first-ever Mountain West regular season title. He scored in double figures in all but one game in league play, while logging eight double-doubles.

Uduje was named the Sixth Man of the Year along with New Mexico's Mustapha Amzil. Uduje scored in double figures in six games in league play, including a season-best 20 points off the bench at Wyoming. In MW action, Uduje averaged 8.7 points and 2.6 rebounds per game, while shooting 40.1 percent (57-of-12) from the field.

In league play, Brown led the MW in minutes played per game (36.99), while ranking third in assists per game (5.50), eighth in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.48), tied for ninth in steals per game (1.44), tied for 12th in defensive rebounds per game (4.44), 13th in 3-pointers made per game (1.94) and 17th in points per game (13.56). Brown scored in double figures in 14 league games, including a season-best 25 points against San Diego State. He logged three double-doubles, including two with rebounds and one with assists, and has dished out at least five helpers in 13 conference games.
