ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Utah State soccer (5-5-5, 2-1-3 MW) picked up a point and a shutout on the road Thursday night at UNM Soccer Complex in Albuquerque, playing 90 scoreless minutes against New Mexico in a 0-0 draw.
The Aggie offense created opportunities throughout, recording 15 shots including five shots on frame, but were unable to find the back of the net. Senior forward Tess Werts led the Utah State attack with four shots in 69 minutes of action. Defensively, USU limited the Lobos to 11 shots with just two on frame, as graduate goalkeeper Taylor Rath was tasked with making just two saves while earning the shutout in net.
