LOGAN, Utah – Utah State volleyball middle blockers Tierney Barlow and Lauren Larkin swept the weekly awards from the Mountain West. Barlow earned Old Trapper MW Offensive Player of the Week honors while Larkin took Defensive Player and Freshman of the Week honors.

Barlow led USU with a .514 hitting percentage in a pair of home wins over Colorado State and Wyoming to help the Aggies clinch at least a share of the MW regular season title. Barlow totaled 21 kills, averaging 3.0 per set, and recorded only two hitting errors on 37 total attempts for the week. She also added two aces and two assists. Against the Rams, Barlow finished with 12 kills on a .500 hitting percentage alongside two aces. In a crucial third set, Barlow delivered a kill and ace on back-to-back rallies to fight off a Rams set point on the way to a 28-26 Aggie win. Barlow then posted nine kills on 17 attempts without any attack errors for a .529 hitting percentage against Wyoming.

This is Barlow's second time this season and in her career being named the MW Offensive Player of the Week. Barlow also received Freshman of the Week honors once in 2022.

Larkin received her honors after leading USU with 13 total blocks on the week, averaging 1.86 blocks per set while adding five kills. In Utah State's win over CSU, Larkin posted five blocks, including two solo. She had two blocks during the final four rallies of the pivotal third-set victory against the Rams. Against the Cowgirls, Larkin then set a career-high with eight blocks, including four blocks during the team's 27-25 second-set victory on the way to a sweep.

It is Larkin's second time being named Freshman of the Week this season, but her first time earning Defensive Player of the Week honors. 

Utah State has now received a total of 10 weekly awards from the conference this season, from a total of six different players.
