LOGAN, Utah – Utah State senior volleyball middle blocker
Tierney Barlow was named the Old Trapper MW Offensive Player of the Week for the second week in a row the conference announced today.
Barlow led USU with a .591 hitting percentage while recording 26 kills during a pair of road wins at Fresno State and San Jose State. Barlow did not record a single attack error on 44 total attempts during the week. Against the Bulldogs, Barlow recorded nine kills on a .500 hitting percentage. Barlow then registered a season-high 17 kills on a .654 hitting percentage against San José State, also adding an ace and two assists in the match. She recorded eight kills during a 32-30 first-set win over the Spartans, including three kills late to help turn a 24-20 deficit in the set into a victory.
This is Barlow's second-straight week and third time this season and in her career being named the MW Offensive Player of the Week. Barlow also received Freshman of the Week honors once in 2022.
Utah State has now received a total of 11 weekly awards from the conference this season, from a total of six different players.
