CORVALLIS, Oregon – Utah State women's basketball fought valiantly, fighting back from multiple double-digit deficits before ultimately running out of gas in a 71-52 loss at Oregon State on Tuesday at Gill Coliseum.
Oregon State, the reigning tournament champions in the WCC, opened the game with a 15-2 run led by 6-foot-8 center Néné Sow. From there, the Aggies began to climb back in the contest with a 13-6 stretch featuring a pair of buckets from senior center

Jamisyn Heaton each hit from outside to help bring USU within five points on multiple occasions in the third quarter. The Beavers, however, kept pace and continued throughout the quarter, shooting 60.0 percent in the frame to USU's 35.3 percent, allowing the home side to build a 61-44 lead entering the fourth quarter.
