Lauren Larkin were again honored by the Mountain West this week. Barlow was named the Old Trapper MW Offensive Player of the Week for the third week in a row while Larkin earned Old Trapper MW Freshman of the Week honors, the conference announced today.
Barlow led USU with 27 total kills in a pair of wins over Air Force (3-1) and Nevada (3-0), helping the Aggies close out an undefeated 18-0 record in Mountain West play. Barlow hit .619 on 42 attempts with only one error on the week, also adding two aces, one each against the Falcons and Wolf Pack. She also led USU with 10 total blocks, averaging 1.43 per set. Barlow paced the Aggies with a career-high-tying 18 kills on 26 attempts with no errors against Air Force, also adding five blocks and three digs. Her .692 hitting percentage is second-highest in program history for 20+ attempts, trailing only
Loryn Helgesen's .704 mark against Grand Canyon earlier this season. Barlow then added nine kills on 16 attempts with one error against Nevada, hitting .500 for the match and contributing another five blocks and three digs on the defensive side.
This is Barlow's third-straight week and fourth time this season and in her career being named the MW Offensive Player of the Week. Barlow also received Freshman of the Week honors once in 2022.
Larkin led USU with a .727 hitting percentage on the week. She finished with 16 kills, averaging 2.29 per set, on 22 total attempts without recording an error. Larkin also added eight blocks, averaging 1.14 per set, and two digs. Against Air Force, Larkin tied her career-high with 10 kills, hitting .667, and also tied for the team lead with five blocks alongside two digs. Larkin then added six kills on seven attempts against Nevada, hitting .857 and also adding three blocks
This is Larkin's third time being named the MW Freshman of the Week. Larkin also was previously named the Defensive Player of the Week one time this season.
Utah State has now received a total of 13 weekly awards from the conference this season, from a total of six different players.

The Aggies prepare for the Mountain West Tournament held at the Pavilion in Las Vegas, Nevada. Utah State enters as the No. 1 overall seed and will begin its run in the semifinals on Friday, Nov. 28, at 2 p.m. (MT), against the winner between Boise State and Grand Canyon. Should USU advance, the MW Championship will be on Saturday, Nov. 29, at 4 p.m. (MT).
